Fode Mohamed Cissé, born on December 11, 1980, in Conakry, Guinea, has been deeply connected to the world of dance and percussion from an early age. Inspired by his mother, Manana Cissé, a celebrated star of Les Ballets Africains, Fode’s passion for the arts was nurtured in his youth. In 1993, he left his secondary education to join the Private Ballet GBASSIKOLO under Djibril Camara. His talents quickly propelled him forward, and by 1995, he successfully auditioned for Les Ballets Africains, receiving formal training from renowned choreographers such as the late Hamidou Bangoura, Artistic Director of Les Ballets Africains until 2023.

With strong mentorship from his mother, Fode became an established dancer and percussionist in 1997, embarking on extensive international tours with Les Ballets Africains. His global performances include appearances in countries such as England, Italy, Finland, Austria, Japan, Australia, South Africa, the United States, Canada, Bermuda, China, and Algeria. In 2010, Fode was invited to a prestigious festival in Prague, where he choreographed and served as a juror, further enhancing his artistic influence in Czechoslovakia, Portugal, and Morocco.
